Jewellery & Watch News
Breitling truly raised the stakes last week when they unveiled their latest 2020 watch releases during their first Summit Webcast. With the likes of Baselworld and other watch exhibitions getting cancelled or postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic, luxury watch brands are having to get creative in how they announce their newest collections. Breitling took to the internet and revealed some remarkable new pieces including two new limited editions, a full capsule collection and a stunning selection of ladies watches.
All of the new Breitling watch releases are already available to order and pre-order on the W Hamond website. If you have any questions about the watches revealed below and the free delivery and interest free finance available, feel free to contact the team at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01947 603330.
Breitling Superocean Heritage ‘57 Watches
First to be unveiled was the new capsule collection of Breitling Superocean Heritage ’57 watches. Inspired by the first Breitling Superocean released in 1957, these stunning vintage-inspired divers watches are bought to life by a distinctive concave unidirectional bezel, oversized indexes and large Superluminova coated hands. Its design follows closely to that of the 1950’s model measuring to 42mm in diameter, 9.9mm in thickness and with a 100 metre water resistant rating. Meanwhile the contemporary Breitling Calibre 10 movement provides classic hour, minutes and seconds function and a power reserve of 42 hours.
Since it is named a ‘capsule’ collection, this means the watches will not be limited in numbers but will be produced for a limited time only. There are several variations of the Breitling Superocean Heritage ’57 to choose from including two stainless steel models available with a blue dial or black dial and matching coloured bezel (both available on calfskin leather strap or mesh bracelet). A third edition is presented with a two tone steel and 18 carat rose gold case also available on a bracelet or leather strap.
Breitling Superocean Heritage ’57 Limited Edition Watch
Alongside the stunning Breitling Superocean Heritage ’57 Capsule collection was its very own limited edition. The 250 pieces of the Breitling Superocean Heritage ’57 Rainbow limited edition has already sold out, so it’s unfortunately no longer available to order, but it’s unique design is still something worth talking about. It features the exact same case, bezel, movement and functionality as the rest of the Superocean Heritage ’57 collection but it makes its mark with a distinctive rainbow dial featuring Superluminova indexes and markers coloured in yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, red and orange.
Breitling Navitimer Automatic 35 Ladies Watches
The Breitling Navitimer is widely recognised as one of the brand’s most iconic models and for the first time, the Swiss manufacturer has announced a selection of Breitling Navitimer watches for women. These breathtaking instruments still capture the classic codes true to the collection’s aviation DNA but bring a more feminine-influenced design with diamonds, mother of pearl and shiny alligator leather. With 18 carat rose gold and stainless steel cases, blue, silver, copper and white dials and a stunning array of straps to choose from, we are certain you’ll find the Breitling Navitimer Automatic 35 Ladies watch for you.
Breitling Chronomat B01 42 Watches
Possibly the most notable launch from the Breitling 2020 Summit Webcast was the extraordinary new range of Breitling Chronomat B01 42 watches. These statement timepieces are redesigned after a historic Chronomat first launched in 1984 and feature the same Rouleaux bracelet, interchangeable rider tabs on the bezel, inner tachymeter scale and rounded crown. The Rouleaux bracelet is gorgeous and brings a real vintage feel to the piece. The angular, rounded links and sleek profile beautifully follow the lines of the case while the concealed butterfly clasp adds a touch of sophistication.
The unique bezel on each Breitling Chronomat B01 42 also follows in the footsteps of its predecessor with interchangeable rider tabs at position 15 and 45. This means you can choose whether to use them to count up or count down, as a pilots or divers watch or as a regatta timer or chronograph. Once again, there are several design options to choose from within the collection including stainless steel, 18 carat rose gold and two toned cases and a selection of dials in anthracite, blue, copper, black, silver or British Racing Green dials (the latter being a Bentley edition). The Rouleaux bracelet is also available in classic stainless steel or with 18 carat rose gold polished inner links.
Breitling Chronomat B01 Frecce Tricolori Limited Edition Watch
Last to be revealed on the Breitling 2020 Summit Webcast was the Breitling Chronomat Frecce Tricolori Limited Edition. Similarly to the collection above, the watch has been redesigned after a 1983 Chronomat while also celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Frecce Tricolori squadron. Its stunning design features the same interchangeable rider tabs and Rouleaux bracelet but comes with a statement blue dial with black chronograph counters and the Frecce Tricolori insignia at 12 o clock. This limited edition is still available to order but with only 250 pieces being released, we don’t expect it to last long!
