When Bram Stoker first brought Dracula to Whitby in 1897 – “on a cargo of silver sand and boxes of earth” - Whitby Abbey provided a perfect setting for the birth of a local legend. Below the abbey and at the foot of the 199 steps the story continues to be an inspiration for many jewellery designs and limited-edition pieces at W Hamond's workshop
Having worked with Dacre Stoker – the great grand-nephew of Bram Stoker – on collaborative jewellery designs and special events, we feel our association with Dracula is even more special. Therefore, as 2022 marked the 125th year since the first publication of Bram Stoker’s novel, we were excited to launch new and exclusive designs into our gothic range under the collection "Dracula 125".
Aimed at lovers of literature and vampires alike, the collection helps celebrate the most famous vampire of all, across a range of pendants, rings, charms, bracelets, earrings and even bookmarks. The signature pieces in the collection feature a Whitby Abbey with commemorative 125 branding.
