About Messika Jewellery

“A diamond is never more beautiful than when it is in motion.”

Messika was founded in 2005 in Paris by Valérie Messika who, inspired by her father’s own experience in the gemstone industry, wanted to change the reputation of diamond jewellery as expensive and for some, unreachable. The company’s inaugural collection was the Messika Skinny Bracelet which introduced a gorgeous selection of ultra-slim and highly flexible diamond bracelets. Shortly after, in 2007, Messika’s most defining design landed, the Messika Move jewellery collection.

Taking the image of her father playing with diamonds and watching them sparkle as he spun them between his fingers, Valérie invented the world-famous Messika Move concept which showcased diamonds suspended between ribbons of gold as if they were floating in the air. With every movement of the body, Messika Move jewellery allows the diamond to gracefully slide up and down its setting. Every sub-collection of Messika Move jewellery is completely different to the next, and yet they all have one thing in common. The diamonds placed at the centre create a sense of movement and fluidity, elegantly sliding alone, in pairs or in a trio across the solid gold.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Messika Move jewellery collection, the Parisian brand launched a range of Messika Move 10th jewellery. Each design maintains the same floating diamond motif within a selection of bold, multi-row rings, bracelets and necklaces. The designs in this collection are beautifully asymmetric and structured in style making them perfect for those that like to make a statement. For a more timeless look, the Messika Move Classic jewellery collection elects smaller, feminine designs with minimalistic chains and three moving diamonds at the centre. You can choose from all the Messika Move jewellery designs in yellow gold, white gold or rose gold.

Taking its name from Valérie Messika’s first daughter, the Messika Move Romane jewellery collections adopts another style of graphism with double structured bands of gold dressed in diamonds. Some of the designs here are kept plain, with three to five moving diamonds at the centre, while others are joined by additional pave diamond decoration for an unmissable sparkle. The Messika Move Noa jewellery collection is an example of minimalistic elegance, taking its name from Valérie’s second daughter. This time, the 18ct gold ribbons are thicker in size and have three moving diamonds. Finally, the Messika Move Uno line is defined by only one moving diamond, making this collection perfect for those beginning their journey into the world of elegant diamond jewellery.

Alongside the Messika Move family, the brand also showcases a range of other jewellery designs not defined by a moving diamond. For example, the Messika Gatsby series brings to life the glamour, opulence and freedom of the 1920’s with graphic diamond jewellery pieces. Each necklace, ring, earring and bracelet is evocative of the Art Deco period, enhanced by shades of yellow, white and rose gold and pave set diamonds. There’s also the Messika My Twin jewellery collection named as such for the two contrasting cuts of diamond that meet in the middle. The first is a pear cut diamond, sensual and sparkling, pointed like a teardrop. The second is an emerald cut diamond, stylised and hypnotic with sharp corners and unmissable facets.
