About U-Boat Watches
U-Boat watches, like the ships they were names after, are bold, aggressive and oversized. These timepieces embody force and style and the product of a lifelong dream of Italo Fontana, who launched the U-Boat Watch brand in 2000.
The original inspiration came when in 1942 the "Officine Fontana" was tasked with producing a professional watch for the distinguished officers of its navy U-Boats. Though the project was scrapped, the original drawings, samples and materials were preserved, and inspired the stunning and innovative watches produced by U-Boat today.
U-Boat are pride themselves on their large watches, with the U-Boat 53mm being their largest core piece, famed for being regularly worn by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone.
