In 1958, a small workshop specialising in the creation of solid gold chains was founded by a gentlemen named Giuseppe Bicego. It was here, in the workshop in Trissino, Northern Italy that his son, Marco Bicego, began to learn all about the techniques of crafting 18ct gold jewellery. Harnessing methods deeply rooted in local tradition and mastering an apprenticeship in goldsmithing, Marco Bicego eventually debuted his own collection in 2000 and so, the Marco Bicego jewellery brand was born.
From the very beginning, Marco Bicego took it upon himself to ensure each of his creations were completed entirely by hand by only master craftsmen in the industry. Not only does this mean no Marco Bicego necklace, ring, earring or bracelet will ever be the same, but it imbues each piece with a rare quality found nowhere else in the fine jewellery making world. Whether its 18ct yellow, white or rose gold, the metal is handcrafted in Vicenza, Italy and then set with precious stones that have been hand-selected from around the world. Marco Bicego also combines many of his designs with hallmarks like the twisted chain or hand engraving for an elevated finish. Hand finishings like this have become a symbol for the Italian Maison’s quality and elegance.
