Jewellery & Watch News
Bright and colourful watch dials are all the rage at the moment, and they were certainly a recurring theme at the Watches & Wonders 2023 event last week. Alongside the lime green-dialled Oris ProPilot X Kermit watch, the pastel pink and blue Czapek Antarctique S Sashiko watches and the gemstone-adorned dials of the Arnold & Son Double Tourbillon, two of the brightest members attending were the NOMOS Glashutte Club Campus Cream Coral & Electric Green watches.
The NOMOS Club Campus watch collection is the German watchmaker’s entry-level design, offering cool and casual aesthetics, in-house movements and contemporary dial designs at a really reasonable price. It seems every year, NOMOS adds a duo of new dial colours to this collection; we saw the NOMOS Club Campus Future Orange and Absolute Grey watches of 2021 and Deep Pink and Blue Purple displays for 2022. Now appearing bolder than any before, we’re introduced to the NOMOS Club Campus in a gorgeous creamy coral and a bold, electric green.
Following in the footsteps of their predecessors, the new NOMOS Glashutte Club Campus Cream Coral & Electric Green watches elect a compact, unisex case of stainless steel in two sizes. The first is 36mm in diameter with a height of only 8.2mm while the second comes in a little larger at 38.5mm wide and 8.5mm tall. The cases are highly polished with smooth, fixed bezels, 100 metre water resistant ratings and a domed sapphire crystal glass on the front. The case back is kept closed and in typical NOMOS style, you can have the metal engraved with a personalised message.
The dial colours of the NOMOS Glashutte Club Campus Cream Coral & Electric Green watches are the obvious novelty and trust us when we say these colours are breathtaking. The Cream Coral iterations boast a creamy salmon display while the Electric Green model is a deep shade of mint green. Both are adorned with the unique combination of Arabic and Roman numerals, two sword-shaped and luminous hands for the hours and minutes and a small seconds dial at 6 o’clock. The latter adds an additional pop of colour with a neon orange hand.
The NOMOS Glashutte Club Campus Cream Coral & Electric Green watches are powered by the brand’s Alpha, in-house manual winding movement. It beats at a frequency of 21,600vph and stores a 43 hour power reserve when fully wound. Completing the new 2023 releases is a grey suede leather strap closed by a classic stainless steel pin buckle.
