Launched in 1897, William Moorcroft shared his interpretation of fine art pottery with the world to huge success. Adored by prestigious stores such as Liberty of London, Harrods, and Tiffany & Co. in New York, the Royal College of Art graduate quickly established a reputation for unique artistry and exceptional quality—values the brand remains faithful to today. As Moorcroft's designers have changed over the years, each has put their own unique stamp on new creations without compromising the signature Moorcroft style, allowing the brand to continuously evolve.

Working in partnership since 2014, Moorcroft and C W Sellors share a passion for handcrafted gifts. Ranging from fine homeware to bespoke jewellery, this collaboration has created a seamless crossover between two proud British manufacturers.

With a focus on British heritage, particularly the home of Whitby Jet, the highlight of the collection showcases exclusive, limited-edition homeware designs inspired by Whitby’s rich history. Combining the unique identity of the much-loved harbour town—with its iconic Abbey and cobbled streets—with the unforgiving nature of the ocean that brought it prosperity, the collection includes exclusive designs to C W Sellors, including the recent launch, ‘Whitby Whale Vase’.
