Reports from the team at the event say there is a mixture of rain and sun which is probably a good thing for both the visitors and the animals at the show. The stand has had lots of friendly people passing through and chatting with our staff with about our specialist jewellery set with the local stones Whitby Jet and Blue John, this makes for a lovely atmosphere and creates a real buzz for everybody.
The W.Hamond stand is set just behind the main grandstand and the Yorkshire regiment and Lorenzo with his many horses! This is a display in the main arena where Lorenzo and his team ride 10 horses bare back! A real show stopping performance I have heard!! Sounds great I wish I was there.
Apparently the W.Hamond stand is positioned between a children's clothes shop to one side and a lovely housewares shop to the other, I am sure they are having a real good time all making friends and helping each other out.
The Winners of the charm competition have also been presented with their sampled designs, this was a competition we had running over the past few months before the show to design a charm that was influenced by the Yorkshire show, all the entries we received were outstanding which made it so hard to judge.
We really loved the curly horns on the rams head of Abigail Buckingham's and thought the design was very commercial, details of the competition are on a previous Blog if you would like to read the brief set but one of the prizes was to have their charm designed within our workshop.
