Whitby Pirates in Town

Jewellery & Watch News

Whitby may be well known for its Gothic heritage and all things spooky, but it also hosts a very different festival in the summer months - The Whitby Tortuga Festival.

The festival is now in its second year running from the 10th-12th July 2015. Activities are being held opposite Whitby Abbey, at Abbey Farm on Whitbys East Cliff, these include stalls, re enactments, a pirate village, archery, face painting, fancy dress competitions, story telling and a kids club to name but a few. Proceeds for this event go to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

It is a Pirate festival full of fun for all the family. With a handful of swashbuckling mayhem and a sprinkling of tom-foolery. We expect Whitby to be buzzing with the sound of sea shanties and the smell of rum in the air.....

If you are visiting Whitby next weekend our W Hamond Boutique is located at the bottom of the 199 steps up to the Abbey where you can visit this lively event.
