About Garmin Fenix Watches

Originally launched in 2012, Garmin Fenix watches have come a long way in ten years. They’ve grown from robust, multisport GPS wearables to luxury, solar-powered smartwatches equipped with every navigational app and fitness tool you can imagine. Those looking for a Garmin Fenix watch for their own wrist can find everything they need to know about Garmin Fenix watches here including all their most innovative features…

The Garmin Fenix watch collection is designed to meet any outdoor challenge, whether that be a hike up the world’s biggest mountain or simply a run around the block. The Garmin Fenix 7 is the brand’s latest model in the series and comes in three sizes: the Garmin Fenix 7S is the smallest at 42mm, the Garmin Fenix 7 is the middleman at 47mm and the Garmin Fenix 7X is the largest at 51mm. Each comes crafted from stainless steel or titanium in a wide range of colours along with scratch resistant sapphire crystal glass and a 100 metre water resistant rating.

One of the biggest draws of the Garmin Fenix 7 is the solar-powered display. Hidden behind the touchscreen, full-colour display is Garmin’s innovative Power Lens technology which harnesses sunlight to charge the watch’s battery. The Garmin Fenix 7X for example boasts an already impressive battery life of up to 28 days in smartwatch mode without solar. But when used out and about in the sun, you could amass up to 37 days of charge in smartwatch mode. This grows even more when you put the device in Battery Saver Mode – a lifesaver for those that like to go off the beaten track for weeks at a time.

For outdoor enthusiasts, you’ll appreciate features like the preloaded multi-continental TopoActive maps and multi-GNNS systems including GPS, Galileo and GLONASS for better positioning accuracy than just GPS alone. There’s also an Up Ahead feature which gives you a heads-up of selected points of interest coming up, and on the Garmin Fenix 7X, you’ll get a fancy integrated flashlight. With just a double tap, a light illuminates the ground in front of you for easy navigation in the dark. There’s also ABC sensors for altimeter, barometer and compass, a Pulse Ox sensor, wrist based heart rate monitor and ClimbPro feature.

Those into their fitness will also enjoy the Garmin Fenix’s vast range of health and wellbeing apps. There’s tracking for stress, sleep and hydration as well as a handy real time stamina function which lets you view how much you have left in the tank to help manage your exertion. For runners, there’s a Visual Race Predictor which estimates your time for runs based on your current fitness levels and PacePro technology. It doesn’t matter what sport you’re into, the Garmin Fenix has built-in sports app for them all, from trail running, swimming, running, biking, hiking, rowing, skiing, golfing, surfing and indoor climbing. Finally, Garmin Fenix watches are fully equipped to help you throughout day-to-day life. There’s access to the Garmin Connect IQ store, classic smart notifications, safety and tracking features, music storage and Garmin Pay.
